The host of the Podcast Review Podcast is David Elder. I’m going to stop writing in third person now because it’s just me, David Elder, who runs this thing. I’m an associate professor of Writing and Rhetoric at Morningside College in Sioux City, IA. The views expressed on the podcast are my own. I’m not sure which to write about first: my love for teaching or my love for podcasts. However, I think it’s fair to say that both are passions of mine, and I’ve found ways to make them intersect. This podcast is a way for me to spread the good news about how podcasts can be used in the college classroom, but I also want to explore and find new podcasts I can use in my own teaching. Thus, every week, I will be reviewing a new podcast for its applicability to a college teaching environment. While my own expertise is in Composition and Rhetoric, I’m going to sometimes go far afield and see if I can find good podcasts for colleagues in different departments and disciplines. So, I’ll listen to 5-10 episodes of a new podcast every week during the school year and give you an honest review of how or if it would fit into the classroom.
